The framework serves as a guide to the function and role of the CNM Student Team. This is not a constitution, and nor does it replace the elected constitution of CNM in any format.

1.  The CNM Student Team will function in the capacity as a ‘working
     party’ within and in accordance to the constitution and aims of the
     organisation.

2.  Work amongst student nurses and midwives will be coordinated through
     the Student Team with oversight and guidance from CNM Council.

3.  The Student team consists of student & qualified (as appropriate)
     members of CNM.

4.  Members of this team will be appointed by CNM Council.

5.  Such persons will be known as ‘Student Representatives’, except for the
     designated person who will coordinate and lead the group.

6.  The Student Team will be coordinated and lead by an elected CNM
     council member with the title of ‘Student Liason’. Such appointed person
     will report to the CNM Chairperson/Council regularly and appropriately.

7.  Student Representatives will not be designated or made particularly
     responsible for a geographical area within the United Kingdom.

8.  There will be at least one student from the Student Team co-opted to be
     present at CNM Council meetings. Such person(s) will be appointed by
     CNM Council.

9.  Student Team meetings will take place at least two - three times a year
     (Feb, June, Nov) and as necessary.

10. Finances for student work will be coordinated by CNM Council.

11. The Student Team will form links and work (where appropriately)
     alongside student/qualified groups within other Christian healthcare
     organisations, such as: CMF, CTN &TSCF. CNM remains affiliated
     with UCCF (Universities Colleges Christian Fellowship).
