The Nursing/Midwifery Studies of the Institute of Health Care, University of Malta will be hosting the 3rd International Conference on 'Spirituality: The Human Dimension In Care' in Malta on the 25th and 26th October 2007. This Conference aims to increase the awareness of spirituality in care giving among students and health care professionals, to enhance the multidisciplinary team approach towards holistic care.

CNM is a fellowship of Christians in the nursing and midwifery professions, students and qualified, in England and Wales.  We have a sister fellowship in Scotland (NCF Scotland), and we are linked into the global network of the Nurses Christian Fellowship International (NCFI).

CNM grew out of the nursing and midwifery students’ Christian fellowship (CSNM).  After the closure of the original Nurses Christian Fellowship in the early 1990s, there had been no specific interdenominational fellowship for Christians in the nursing and midwifery professions in England and Wales.  CNM grew out of a group of students in the early part of this century who had been encouraged and helped by the student fellowship run by UCCF, and who wanted to see this support continue through their professional lives.

Though we are still a small fellowship, we are growing.  We welcome all Christians in the nursing and midwifery professions, both graduate and student, who support our aims and beliefs.
