Christian Student Nurses and Midwives (CSNM) operated for many years to serve Christian students of nursing and midwifery. As part of the Universities and Colleges Christian Fellowship (UCCF) it benefited from full time workers and support from this large organisation. However, recent times have seen changes. The group CSNM has now, by agreement with UCCF, become fully integrated into the work of CNM. This has many benefits; not least an organising body which is run by nurses. Within CNM, the old CSNM is simply called ‘CNM Students’. This is to give students as much integration as possible for events and happenings, but still having the ability to organise to serve students in a specific way. Although there is no longer a separate student organisation, CNM remains affiliated to UCCF.
